Another problem experienced by the paramedic staff in the course of their work is the payout. Despite the high costs of paramedic training, the high risk nature of their job and sometimes the long hours worked, the emergency healthcare providers are some of the most under paid workers in the economy. The argument that this group of people does not work full time is invalid in justifying their poor pay.
